Language Matters!
Tom points out that language matters and you can use it to energize and excite people. He cites the BMW expression, "Radically Thrilling: or Steve jobs form Apple "Insanely Great" and of course, the expression, "WOW!"
MBWA
One of the original concepts from "In Search of Excellence was "MBWA" or Managing By Wandering Around. Tom still believes that this is a critical factor in success. It's a metaphor for being in touch (and not losing touch).

In 2006, Tom gave a lecture in Siberia. In it, he spoke about Business and how ultimately, the importance was that it every organizations exists to be of service to others. That is what it's all about - in business and in life! Think about it.

When Tom was keynoting for an event celebrating Peter Drucker, he wrote about the importance of developing talent. If you want a great organization, if you want great service, than you must develop your people. Put them first.
Angry People Make Change
