Program Highlights

  • The challenges to unlocking creativity.
  • Linking personal growth to increased organizational creativity.
  • Specific exercises to foster personal creativity.

Continual innovation is essential to succeed in today's challenging marketplace. Everyone in your organization needs to draw from what Professor Ray calls an "inner creative essence" to keep up with the demands of consumers, the expectations of stockholders, and potential inroads from competitors. He describes how to use four tools—faith, absence of judgment, observation, and questions—that can release creativity in your enterprise, sidestepping potential pitfalls and opening up opportunities.

Michael Ray, PhD, is the first John G. McCoy-Banc One Corporation Professor of Creativity and Innovation and of Marketing at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is a social psychologist and co-author of "Creativity in Business" (cited by Inc. magazine as one of the nine "Greatest Business Books Ever Written") and "The Path of the Everyday Hero." He also founded Insight Out Collaborations, Inc., which develops electronic media/human interaction versions of personal development courses for use in corporation.
