This program examines the successful lean manufacturing practices at an automotive supplier, TAC Manufacturing.
TAC Manufacturing is a subsidiary of Tokai Rica, and their production philosophy is based on the Toyota Production System.
Many lean principles are followed such as just-in-time parts delivery, pull production control, and visual controls. The team-based workplace culture creates highly motivated workers capable of meeting all customer demands. Supplier confidence is maintained by careful selection and frequent communications to keep inventories of all materials ready for processing when needed.
